“At Bessie Carmichael, we dare to dream to big. I’ve always dreamed of creating a school where we wished the world would be. We look at everything we do, in terms of instruction through a social justice lens. One of our goals is to interrupt systemic oppression and that students leave Bessie with the knowledge and critical thinking skills that they need for the 21 century. Most important we want our scholars to leave Bessie happy and successful.” -Principal Lagdamen
