Truth

We believe that God has revealed Himself through the Bible and in the life of Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105, Colossians 1:15)

Authentic Christian Community

We believe that spiritual life is best when it is being lived out in close proximity to others. It is impossible to live life at its best when we are disconnected from other followers of Jesus. We believe this can take place through structured environments (weekly small groups), as well as spontaneously in our daily living. (1 Thessalonians 2:8, Acts 2:42)

Missional Living

We believe that missions is not something we do, but something we are. We believe that God has placed us here at this time for a specific purpose. This means that God has a purpose behind where we live (and who our neighbors are), where we work (and who we work with), and where we play (who we have social interaction with). We live as though we have been sent by Jesus to spread His kingdom in each of these arenas of life. (2 Corinthians 5:20, John 20:21)

Servant Leadership

We believe that servant leadership triumphs over positional leadership. Though Jesus was God, He chose humility and serving others rather than lording his position over them. The staff desires to lead in this way and to train others to do the same. (Philippians 2:6-7, Mark 10:45)

Church Multiplication

We believe that it will take many kingdom-minded churches to reach the Bay Area and the world for Jesus Christ. Because of this, it is our vision to continue to plant churches and assist other churches in this area and around the world so that many will come to know Christ and live for Him. (Matthew 28:19-20)
